| It is encouraging to see the Church in Mumbai respond to Christ’s call to love our neighbours, to care for widows and orphans in their time of distress. God has used IMCARES to be a driving force and as a catalyst to many churches and organizations to start various social projects. The Community Training Course (CTC), especially has been a boon to young people from various churches in Mumbai. CTC is a 9-month full time course conducted by IMCARES in order to train young men and women to respond to people in need, with a basic thrust on HIV/AIDS, with a holistic approach. The course has been a life changing experiences to over 80 participants in the past 8 years, both individually and to those that they minister to. Several of these participants continue to work with IMCARES while others continue to pursue their careers and make themselves available as and when the need arises. |
